Tertiary Institution Project
Kwakha Indvodza’s Tertiary Project works directly with 18-30 year old male university students inside the tertiary institutions and in the surrounding communities. Complementing the existing pastoral structures in these settings, KI has established permanent positive safe spaces for students to enjoy, relax, learn and access health services.
Offering relationship and careers counselling, study group, information on sexual reproductive health, drug and alcohol abuse and social enterprise, these spaces form key referral points and support structures in a young students’ life, especially if they are far from home or struggling with new social and scholarly pressures.
Coupled with the institutionally-run Chapters, Kwakha Indvodza runs a parallel calendar of activities in the surrounding communities, bridging the gap between the university and the surrounding out-of-school youth.
